Description

The 1336F-MCB-SP1J PCB serves as the primary control board for Allen-Bradley’s 1336 series variable frequency drives, including the PLUS, PLUS II, Force, Impact, and Regen models. It is compatible with drive frames B through G, supporting:

• 230V AC-rated 1336 PLUS, PLUS II, Force, and Impact drives;
• 460V AC and 575V AC-rated 1336 PLUS, PLUS II, Force, Impact, and Regen drives.

Each drive requires one 1336F-MCB-SP1J main control board. Note that all PCBs (excluding the main control board) are grounded to the system’s negative ground bus.

1. Remove the jumper from pins 3, 4, 17, and 18 of connector J2;
2. Select the appropriate input mode.

1. Reinstall these jumpers;
2. Reset the input mode parameter to Status 1.

Safety & Operational Notes

• Hazardous Voltage Warning: Drives contain PCBs with dangerous voltage levels. Always disconnect drive power before removing or replacing any PCB, and allow the bus voltage to discharge to 0V (use the designated test points to verify voltage—Allen-Bradley advises against using oscilloscopes for high-voltage measurements, as this poses serious injury risks).
• Troubleshooting Precautions: When diagnosing drive issues, set the speed reference to its minimum value, confirm the correct motor rotation direction, and disconnect the motor from its load.
